February...the month of LOVE

February is the month of LOVE, and we love books and reading here at Ellsworth. We are celebrating our love of books by dressing up as our favorite book characters for Pride Night on February 7th. Who will you be??? Harry Potter? BabyMouse? Greg Heffley? Splat the Cat? I can't wait to see all of the creative costumes! I will take lots of pictures and post them on this very website. Stay tuned for that!!!   Mrs. Brenteson and I will be dressed as our favorite characters... I wonder who we will be... stop by the library and see if you can figure it out.

Ellsworth students are still participating in the Washington Children's Choice Picture Book Award and Sasquatch Award contests. I'm sorry to say I've only given out 6 Fruit by the Foots so far. I would LOVE to give out more. Otherwise...why did I buy such a big box of them? Keep reading you 4th and 5th graders and don't forget to bring me a note signed by an adult that says you've read one of the Sasquatch books. I want to go broke buying huge boxes of Fruit by the Foots! :)

There are a few students who have not returned the extra books they checked out for Winter Break. If that's you... PLEASE BRING THEM BACK!   Thanks so much.
