Welcome to the Legacy Counseling Page!
The Legacy Counselor for the 2012-2013 school year is Lance Frodsham. Lance is available for a variety of student needs. Lance can help with personal problems, social issues, and academic problems. Lance has information about Running Start, the Clark County Skills Center, how to enroll in a class at Evergreen, Mountain View, Heritage, Union or I.Q. Academy. He can tell you about scholarships, colleges and other post-secondary opportunities for learning. The counselor can also tell you about state testing. Lance is also Legacy's 504 coordinator, our senior advisor/graduation coordinator as well as the Legacy guitar teacher!
Connecting with agencies and locating community resources is also a specialty of the counselor. If you need services within the community, they can often be arranged through the counselor.During the year, our counselor offers classes during HRT in a variety of areas such as bereavement, impulse control, or anger management, depending on students' needs.
Just like the rest of society, Legacy students and their families are impacted by problems related to substance abuse. Lance Frodsham is now Legacy High School's Intervention Specialist. He is a person to talk to about alcohol, tobacco and other drugs in a safe, confidential setting. He can assist with meeting the requirements allowing students to return to school after a tobacco, alcohol or drug related suspension. He can guide students and their families with finding and accessing resources in the community. He can provide educational information on the subject individually or in classroom settings.
