Special Education Services § Learning Support Programs – Designed for students who need additional support and/or teaching in the area(s) of § Hard of Hearing Program – Specially designed program, teaching, and accommodations for this population. § Structured Learning Program – This decision making course is designed as a companion class to assist students with emotional and/or behavioral disabilities. § Academic Learning Classroom ( § CHOICE Transition Program – This district wide program is designed for students, 18-21 years of age, who need direct support and instruction in preparation for life after high school. The areas addressed include, but are not limited to: vocational, mobility, recreation/leisure, social, communication, and functional daily living skills. § Work Crew – This program is supervised on the predetermined job site in an effort to increase prevocational skills of our students in special education. § Work Experience – Variety of opportunities with initial job coaching with a phasing out of the supervision. This allows students to receive direct feedback from an employer and assists them with skills necessary for future employment. Our programs focus on accommodating/modifying learning opportunities, providing resources, differentiation of instruction to ensure student success, and providing all of our students a stimulating environment that is designed to meet individual needs. We strive to collaborate with all teachers, parents, and community members to ensure that all of our students will have experiences that will help them to grow into responsible, productive, compassionate citizens. |
