Please notify the students grade level secretary when you know your student will be absent from school.A written excuse or personal contact with the school by a parent/guardian is required for all absences.You will be notified by the automated calling machine in the evenings when your student is absent from one or more class periods. Parents may excuse absences and obtain attendance information by calling their students grade level secretary. Please review the attendance guidelines in your student's "school planner/handbook".
All students in the state of Washington between the age of eight and under eighteen years of age are required to attend school, unless they qualify under an exception of the law. The Evergreen School District is required to take action on all unexcused absences from school.
