Principal's Blog

Greetings to all! Welcome to Endeavour, Home of the Grizzlies! My name is Lauren Hopson and I am privileged to be the principal at Endeavour. I am married to my husband Phil, with two children who attend college. Mac is at the University of Idaho in his last year in Sports and Recreation Management; Chanell is at Portland Community College studying to be a teacher. I am dedicated to my family, friends and working with kids. I enjoy sports, reading and eating! I attended Oregon State University completing my Bachelors and City University with my Masters in Education and Administrative Degree. I first began teaching in Portland, Oregon at Martin Luther King, Jr. I taught intermediate grades for 11 years. I then began working in Evergreen as a 3rd grade teacher and did my Administrative Internship at Image Elementary. After that year, I was an Associate Principal for two years, then the Principal at Image Elementary until 2008, when I was appointed to open the new school, which was later named Endeavour Elementary. I am thrilled and honored to be at Endeavour since it first was established. It has been exciting to name the school, create the mission and beliefs and even choose the counter colors and furniture! Now that we are in our second year, it is even more exciting to build on our solid foundation to create a thriving learning environment. The old African proverb, "It takes a whole village to raise a child." is a firm belief at Endeavour. Please come visit us and introduce yourself to me so we can become better acquainted to help your child/children be successful at Endeavour Elementary. |
