Welcome to my music classroom!  I am thrilled to be back at Fircrest after long-term subbing here last spring.  Students at this school are the best! 
 
Let me take a minute to share a little about myself.  I'm originally from the state of WI where I taught elementary music from 1992-2001.  I then ventured out to Portland to return to school, making a career change into church ministry.  From 2004-2011, I served part time at my church as Women's Ministry Director.  Simultaneously, I received my substitute license, and have had the opportunity to keep my fingers in teaching.  This past spring, I was excited to be able to fill the long-term substitute position in music, and as I stated, I'm thrilled to be able to continue in this for the coming school year. 
 
Some of the things I enjoy include playing piano, accompanying other musicians, singing in choral groups, walking, hiking, camping (in general, being out in nature!), reading, spending time with friends, trying ethnic foods from different countries, and teaching eager children!
